The goal of project is to develop a trip destinations map service, Meijän Metsät.
The service can be used by individual users for finding new trip destination, hiking paths, get information about the destinations, services that it provides, distance to locations, Rating of locations and read/write comments about the location. Users also can search based on difficulty of the destination that how hard and challenging the location should be. These features will help the families to find the proper location to spend some time with their families.

The main propose of the service is to ease the process of finding a perfect trip destination and help the location’s maintainer to provide the required services for their customers in central Finland.

The development project focuses on an existing map service that has been found to be inadequate to customer needs. The service is provided for Meijän Path, a public health and wellbeing movement, which is part of the Center for Well-being in Central Finland KeHO.
